This building looks to the physics and values of gymnastics to pursue a high performance, low resolution project. The gymnast is champion of precarious equilibrium, and this concept has driven the project from the outset. The spectacle of gymnastics is predicted on the seeming impossibility of its feats. To the audience it looks as though the gymnast could tip off the balance beam at any moment, but she knows where her center of mass lies. This building embodies this concept of precarious equilibrium.
